Stellar beverages was first started in 2012 as an importer of the Big Ben Dry London Gin to Nigeria until the company decided to switch to local productions, and in 2015 began manufacturing the Big Ben Gin and Captain Jack Rums from its newly set-up factory in Ipaja, Lagos before it expanded to a new state-of-the-art production facility in November 2020.
Stellar Beverages Nigeria was established by a team of four business partners including Gavin Stewart, Sanjeev Raj, Dilip Shah, and Richard Johnson, who still serve on the company’s board of directors. However, the current chairman of the company is Gavin Stewart.
